Wings~of~War: Manchuria 1945 Take 2

As most of you know already, the Manchuria campaign will begin again tonight at midnight.

This is going to be a new section of the map. Much more entertaining area. ;)

Ground/armour units have been balanced better. The whole area's transportation network; roads, rail lines are fully active so columns could travel all different ways.

The main opening battle will begin for Ussuriysk.

After that, forces are ordered to move the front line forward and capture cities that support enemy airfields and bases.

Best of luck to you all!

RCAF going blue is news to me.

Red team most likely will be equally out numbered as the first campaign then.

Hey how come the Blue side has Zeros when no squadron took that plane? Also shouldn't we get two airfields with the Ki 84c because one squadron took it as a fighter and another took it as their fighter bomber?

The DCG can substitute aircraft when supplies run low. The DCG has taken aircraft out of service, and put them back in, all depending on how the war is going. If you look at the stats page (stats.php), You'll notice that sometimes there are tanks in the scenario, and sometimes there aren't. It's all dependant on a virtual "role of the dice" in some cases, such as whether a column will advance to the right or to the left at a fork in the road, or be placed at all. The same goes for aircraft and their substitutions in these scenarios.

We thought this would make for a good game with a number of other squadrons on each side. The hope was that we would fill the server 24/7 by including groups from around the world. And, that's why there are outside views. This campaign, and others to follow are to be inclusive, and promote as much participation as possible. We hope you enjoy "Warren's War" as I affectionately call it. And, we hope to bring you many more. Tell your friends. Tell your squadmates. Tell anyone who will listen to you blather on about a game. Just get the word out there. Dynamic campaigns for an online war. More than just your average dogfight. ;)

It is a change of pace from the open dogfight servers.

The DCG is fun to watch. :? Still havent figured it out yet. Seems when ground forces arent "in play" during a mission, they arent in the server.

Its important to help your ground forces when they do need the help. Move the lines, win the campaign. :x

I cant thank all the participants enough for having the interest to play and for puttin up with the growning pains of us learning what to do. Tiger kicks ass as always and the server is twice that, I would love to see the server with 120 in. :P

Hopefully we'll be able to come up with a few more active squadrons for the next campaign. They are out there, just busy with other commitments.

Last night around 1100 hours EST one of the =AVG= officers, unbeknonce to him at the time was logged in as an admin., gave an unknown command.

Guess the server got scared and shit the bed. :x

We sat there trin' to fix it but after over 250 attempts at fail/safe restarts.................. nothing.
