Ah, well Welcome to the world of Full Mission Builder or FMB for short. From there you can get started by selecting a map, and there are all sorts of maps to choose from. Maps range from both theaters, and there are some designated just for dogfighting, however its your choice of what you want to include in them.
Now of course I can't tell you everything but if you would refer to your User Manual, it will provide you with the most details to get started. Pages 44-69 explains mutiplayer, online games and the full mission builder, and all its features.

Have built dogfight maps in FMB and a couple of rudimentary co-op missions. Have retained old computer, bought a router, connected it all without it blowing up (it even works...) and am wondering about dedicated server software and other such.....as I recall, our esteemed CO has mentioned a Server Commander or some such? I have '46 on both systems, and have successfully run a server/client game. What different stuff do I need to run a dedicated server or a dynamic multiplayer campaign on what is now my backup machine (1.4gHz Sempron, 1GB RAM,256MB ATI AX1650 vidcard, cable connection) from behind a router so that folks other than me can see it(one thing to do this over a LAN........or is it?)? Any assistance will get you an honourable mention in any mission or campaign I put up and a share of whatever notoriety accrues to it. :idea: :idea: :idea: :twisted: :mrgreen: :!: :idea: !!!

S!~ Gents,

Here is a link to a post that has everything you could imagine relative to IL-2;

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s ... m=51910959

For building missions I recommend the following site;

http://www.il2-fullmissionbuilder.com/index.php

For server software and related server scripts (i.e. IL-2 Server Commander) I recommend the following site;

http://www.mission4today.com

For FB Daemon, if you would like to use it, you can find it here;

http://www.greatergreen.com

And, if you would like to use the Dynamic Campaign Generator you can find it here;

http://www.lowengrin.com

If you need any further help just ask. I only charge $50.00 USD per hour for technical advice, $100 USD per hour to set up your server and related software, and $200 USD per hour to set up your server and related software if you attempted it first. :)
