Allied victory at Midway, entire Jap fleet sunk

Congradulations to the Allied Forces in the defense of Midway Island.
Sinking the carriers forced the IJN down to Davy Jones.
Being the first sea battle campaign, we really weren't sure how this particular campaign would work out once run live. It was pretty much the most "robust" sea campaign available and it turned out to be a very quick and fast paced battle. The ground war battles can easily last a week's time if not months but I guess that makes sense, sea battles were determined in hours almost. We had hoped that the IL2 campaign would last at least 3 to 4 days, our concern it would be over in less than a day much like real sea battles. hehehe Guess our concerns were right.
The Coral Sea and then Santa Cruz Campaigns were put up simply as a matinee feature since so many turned out to play. These Sea Campaigns will run for the rest of the week. Stats and scores are still running, so if you guys are up for a bloody nose sea battle, get in there.
We have pulled scores from the Midway mission stats but the overall pilot stats for the Midway campaign are rolled over to the Coral Sea battle stats.
Team, squadron and pilot scores from the Midway 1942 campaign will be posted.
We are/have been working on a few things and come up with a solution to allow these IL2 sea battle campaigns last up to a week.
Again, we apologize for this being over so quickly. Realizing over 90 people had signed up, the poor Japs didn't have a chance to begin with..... the great turn out in participation, server set up and the manic bombers you guys have........................ only made it worse. So its the Allied's fault this is over so quickly.
We would like to call a mulligan and completely re-start the Midway 1942 campaign again on 14 September 2009 at 00:01 hours with an improved Midway 1942 Camapaing. Registration would still be good, we'll just roll it back a week and start it al over again.
Then, we can switch sides and go again on 28 September 2009. Again gentlemen, we apologize. 90 pilots on a sea battle.............. never done that before. :-p
Additional information will come out "soon." Sorry for the late post, we didnt want to post on something until we had an idea of what we could do about it.
