The A10 looks like such a stable gun platform and is one beautiful machine.

I was in the LA area during 9/11 and the first aircraft that returned to the sky that I saw were a pair of A-10s doing touch and gos. Quite the machines to watch in flight.

NAS Willow Grove isnt far from here and they have an A-10 Marine squadron there. Always see em flying.

When I lived in Charleston we use to go out to the reefs for fishing. One day way north of Charleston an A-10 came staright at us and angled down, perfectly alinging us. FLew over us at about 1500 feet. 5 minutes later a Coast Guard helo buzzed us twice. At this point we realized that we had to be close the the Navy Weapons Depo........... we turned tail and ran south.
