S!~ Sir,

No, you haven't missed registration. I'll be sending an e-mail in the next few days to announce that registration is open.

Heya all, and greetings

My first post here and I am looking forward to oct 4th.

Looking at the plane list for blue makes me wonder why there are 1941 planes available.
How does that match with: " Wings~of~War campaigns are designed to be realistic in the extreme and are intended to create a very immersive combat experience" ?

Axis Aircraft

Bf-109E-1
Bf-109E-1/B
Bf-109E-3
Bf-109E-4
Bf-109E-4/B
Bf-109E-4N
Bf-109E-7
Bf-109E-7N
Bf-109F-2
Bf-110C-4B
Do-17Z-2
He-111H-2
Ju-87B-2
Ju-88A-4

The bold marked planes are from 1941, so, what's the reason for this?

S!~ Sir,

Excellent question. Although Wikipedia is not the most reliable source, it had the most extensive list of aircraft for the Battle of Britain that I could find. So, I used the list to determine which aircraft could be used in HSFX to most closely resemble what would have been available. Here's a link to the Wiki;

Hello Col. Tiger!

I read the BoB Wiki, tx for the link.
And I read info available in IL2 about planes.

What do you think of the following:

German Fighters:
- Bf 109 E series, from the E-1 to E-4 B/N where the mainstay would be the E-3 and E-4,
leaving out the F-series because only the F-1 was in BoB, in very limited numbers and no earlier than october.

German Bombers:
- Heinkel He-111 H2 (1939)
- Dornier Do17 Z-0 (1939)
- Dornier Do17 Z-2 (1940)
- Junkers Ju-87 B2 (1940)
leaving out the Ju-88 because Il2 has only the 1941 and further models

Italian Fighters:
- Fiat CR42 (1938)
- Fiat G-50 (1938)
- Macchi MC200 series3 (1940)

Italian Bombers:
- Cant Z1007/bis (1939)
- Savoie Marchetti SM-79 (1936)
- Breda BR 20M (1936)

Now, about the Italian RA (AirForce)...I think it would be neat to have them. They only operated in the beginning and flew only limitid missions.
But, wouldn't it be nice to have them? They flew from Belgian Airfields, I think there's one on that map: Courtois-Maldegem

British Fighters:
- Hurricane MKI (1938)
- Hurricane MkIIA (1940)
- Hurricane MkIIB (1940)
- Spitfire MkI (1940)
- Spitfire MkII (1940)

British Bombers:
- Blenheim MkIF (1940)
- Blenheim MkIV (1939)
- Blenheim MkIVF (1940)
- Beaufighter MkI (1940)
- Wellington MkIII (1938)

looking forward to your comment on this!

S!~ Sir,

While I really like the idea, with the exception of dropping the Ju-88 (since the later models weren't much different from the early ones), it would mean delaying the campaign because it would need to be completely re-written and tested. I certainly wish we could have had this conversation earlier so that changes could be made and the campaign could still start as scheduled.
