Aces Over Wright Field 2011

It's time once again to gather in Dayton in September at the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous. This year's event will be held 23 September 2011 thru 25 September 2011. The host hotel will once again be the Comfort Inn & Suites directly across from The National Museum of the United States Air Force. As usual, your Virtual Aces team will have a demonstration on the flight line at the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous, and a LAN party at the Comfort Inn & Suites.

We will be having dinner at the Quaker Steak & Lube on Friday, 23 September 2011, and everyone that is a guest of Virtual Aces is invited to attend the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous Banquet on Saturday, 24 September 2011. The banquet is catered right in the museum and all of the attractions are functioning for the use of the guests. Those who have been in attendance in previous years can tell you that the banquet is the highlight of the weekend.

However, this year's highlight may very well be our own 'Chip' Ball who is planning to have his replica WWI aircraft on the flight line at the Dawn Patrol Rendezvous for 2011.

If you never have been, this is a very cool event. Times that by 100 for the Chip and Judy factor. Cant wait!!!!

As Zombie would say, good times! I'll have to miss this one again, but '07 was a hoot!

Make sure you get better use out of the Quaker State Lube though. Last time it seemed like we were out of there in an hour, and I was ready to get lubed up good! Burnin a fatty in the catmobile with some interesting RB fellows was totally cool though.

It would be great if you could make it Zombie. You would just need to register and call Comfort Inn & Suites and make your reservations. Then, Friday night, 23 September 2011 you'll pay the restaurant directly. I'll collect the $25 per person for dinner in the museum on Saturday night, 24 September 2011. Here' the registration link;

So me , my wife and my kid..... 2 years old........ would i register as 2 people? Ive gotta check into flights , would i need a rental car? Just need info like that.

You would register as 2 people, yes. And, I would recommend a rental car. The Dayton International Airport is 17 miles from the hotel.

I plan on showing up once again. Would be cool to see Tiger, Warren, and Chip again. Really be cool if you showed up Zombie be nice to meet you face to face since we have tore up the skys together. I'm still working on Raz (don't hold your breath) but I'm not giving up. I hope some of the other RB guys that I met last time will be there was a great group.
