BERLIN PLANES

so my BIGGEST question on this is why such a small collection of planes. when there were ALOT more planes used on the Russian and German side in the battle then what is in this. SUCH AS FW 190A series.....BF110....AR-234,ju88,ju87,DO-335 A-0 Yak 3P, yak 9UT, P-39, IL 10, PE-8, Tu-2 S, Tupolev,1-153, I-16......just a thought...and the excuse that the server can add planes and subtract would be GREAT if i were to have EVER SEEN IT WORK RIGHT. BTW BF-109G6/AS was a larger super charger on the motor and was used in limited numbers for high altitude only.

We have some time before we go live. Do either of you have a link for the order of battle? Perhaps there are aircraft we can add that were available historically.

THere in lies the crux Tiger much of those particular records are still classified...It seems that Orders of Battle after 1942 seem to be off limits, from my own digging.
However I do know that PE-8s and IL-4 were involved in bombing raids on Berlin in 1945 as well as IL-10s
The Germans had a ME-262s yet and were using everything from Arado's to HE-45s to through back Russians in Berlin.

So far I can confirm the 262s and the Arado. I haven't seen mention of HE-45s. I can tell you that IV./JG 51 flew Bf-109G6s and Fw-190D2s, and they report shooting down La-5s, IL-2s, P-39s (or P-63s), etc.
All these losses where victories claimed by IV./JG51;

We could plug some Ju-87s, Ju-88, and HE-111s in I suppose. The Me-262 could even make a surprise appearance. They do appear in the order of battle for the time period and region if I read the order of battle information correctly.

There are some 262s parked at a Hun airfield. I assumed it was presented as a static on an upgrade by the DCG somewhere down the road.
Dont think there was much if any at all medium bomber action from the Huns at this stage in the war.

Basically at this period the Germans flew anything and everything that could fly - including trainers fitted with panzerfaust on the wings as anti-tank aircraft. Having said that, except for the 262 and 234, most twin engined aircraft were not used except in rare conditions (KG200 even used their B17s for transport) as they were grounded due to lack of fuel - aircraft were being towed on the runway to save on fuel.
The Russians would just be flying the latest and greatest as they had no need to use the I-16 and I-153 which were long gone by now

The only aircraft that I see in the order of battle for Western Germany that I don't have represented is the Bf-110. Would that aircraft have seen battle in Berlin in 1945? If so, I can add it as well.

YEs the night fighter variant was used....yeah and can we have some night missions too...that was missing in the Blitz
